A shorter air-cruise with sea and flight sectors
The Antarctica Express Air-Cruise connects Ushuaia and Punta Arenas in six days. In the regular direction, guests sail through the Beagle Channel towards Cape Horn, cross the Drake Passage once, reach the South Shetland Islands and return from King George Island by charter flight. Some departures operate in reverse.
Cape Horn, the Drake Passage and a first Antarctic landing
The compact route combines open-ocean expedition sailing, lectures and wildlife observation with time in Antarctic waters. Weather permitting, a Cape Horn landing may be attempted. Near the South Shetland Islands, the team plans Zodiac cruising or a shore visit before the scheduled flight to Punta Arenas.
Designed for limited time, still dependent on polar conditions
This is not a substitute for a longer Peninsula voyage: the Antarctic portion is brief and the route is especially sensitive to weather and flight conditions. It is best for travellers who understand expedition flexibility and want a concise introduction combining one Drake crossing with an Antarctic flight.
