Summer 2027 road journey from Helsinki to Stockholm
This 12-day, 11-night tour is planned as an overland journey by private vehicle, minibus or coach, selected for the confirmed group. It begins in Helsinki, crosses Finland through the lake region and Lapland, enters Sweden in the Arctic north and continues south to Stockholm.
The route is offered on request for summer 2027. Hotels, the exact vehicle, driver plan, visits and included services are confirmed only in the written proposal.
Suggested route
Day 1 – Helsinki
Arrival, hotel transfer when included and an orientation programme in the Finnish capital.
Day 2 – Helsinki and Porvoo
Helsinki sightseeing and a possible visit to Porvoo, adapted to arrival times and group interests.
Day 3 – Helsinki to Jyväskylä
Drive north through Finland towards the lake region, with realistic stops agreed for the final programme.
Day 4 – Jyväskylä to Oulu
Continue to the Gulf of Bothnia and Oulu. Driving and guide hours determine the confirmed stops.
Day 5 – Oulu to Rovaniemi
Enter Finnish Lapland and reach Rovaniemi, with a summer Arctic programme selected for the group.
Day 6 – Rovaniemi to Kiruna
Cross northern Finland and Sweden by road. Border routing and rest stops are confirmed with the vehicle operator.
Day 7 – Kiruna and Abisko
Explore Swedish Lapland with a possible Abisko day, subject to weather, road access and walking ability.
Day 8 – Kiruna to Luleå
Travel south through Norrbotten towards the Gulf of Bothnia.
Day 9 – Luleå to Umeå
Continue along Sweden's northern coast with one or two realistic cultural or landscape stops.
Day 10 – Umeå to Sundsvall
Road journey through the High Coast region, with the exact visit chosen for the group and opening hours.
Day 11 – Sundsvall to Stockholm
Final road stage to Stockholm and an introductory city programme if arrival time allows.
Day 12 – Stockholm
Departure transfer or an additional Stockholm programme according to the confirmed flight.

Practical information
The route covers long distances. Daily driving, rest periods, luggage capacity, road works, summer events and hotel availability may change the overnight plan. A one-way vehicle operation between Finland and Sweden must be confirmed before sale.
