REAL DESTINATION EXPERTISE

One destination, many ways to experience it.

Finland changes dramatically between the Baltic coast, Lakeland and Lapland. IBG Travel designs private tours in Finland and provides DMC services for families, agencies, companies and groups, combining cities, nature, transport and seasonal experiences through one local team.

Helsinki, Lakeland, the coast and Lapland

Helsinki is a practical starting point for architecture, design, seaside neighbourhoods, Suomenlinna and day trips to Porvoo or Tallinn. Turku and the southwest archipelago add historic towns, islands and summer routes, while Tampere and the Lakeland region combine urban culture with forests, lakes, cottages and sauna.

Lapland requires separate planning because distances, daylight and seasons differ from southern Finland. Rovaniemi, Levi, Saariselkä, Ruka and other northern destinations offer winter activities, aurora programmes and Arctic accommodation. Summer and autumn bring the Midnight Sun, hiking, cycling and autumn colours.

Private travel, groups and DMC Finland

A private journey can combine airport or port transfers, a dedicated vehicle, professional guides, selected hotels and activities suited to the travellers’ pace. We plan city breaks, family winter holidays, nature routes, cruise extensions and multi-country journeys through Finland and Estonia.

For agencies and companies, IBG Travel provides DMC services in Finland: accommodation, coaches and executive transfers, guides, restaurants, meetings, incentives, technical visits and on-site coordination. Seasonal capacity can be limited, so winter and peak-summer programmes should be secured early.

When to visit Finland

There is no single best season. June to August suits cities, lakes, islands and the archipelago. Autumn colours begin in the north before moving south. Aurora season in Lapland generally runs from late summer into spring, while reliable winter activities depend on the destination and snow conditions.

Southern Finland and Lapland should not be treated as the same climate. A good itinerary checks daylight, travel distances, activity seasons and realistic connection times for the exact route.

Planning travel across Finland

Trains and domestic flights connect the main regions. Private transport is useful for door-to-door service, countryside routes and groups with luggage. In Lapland, transfers and activities must often be booked around fixed schedules and long distances.

Tell us the dates, arrival airport or port, group size and preferred experiences. We can prepare a complete private itinerary or the individual DMC services required by your agency or company.
