IBG Travel designs custom group tours in Europe for travel agencies, tour operators, companies, associations, schools and special-interest organisers. Instead of fitting a group into a fixed package, we build the route around its purpose, dates, pace, budget and operational requirements.
A European group itinerary built from the brief
A useful proposal begins with more than a list of cities. We look at who is travelling, why the journey is taking place, how much time the group can spend in transit and which experiences are essential. This lets us decide whether a single-country route, a regional combination or a multi-country circuit will work best.
Finland, Estonia and Spain are our strongest local bases. We also build selected programmes across Northern, Baltic, Central and Southern Europe through established partners. Our incoming tour operator team keeps the programme under one commercial and operational brief.
Route design, pace and the right level of inclusion
We balance sightseeing, travel time, meals, free time and realistic arrival procedures. A student group, a cultural association, a professional delegation and a leisure coach group need different pacing. We therefore identify fixed commitments first, then build flexible elements around them.
The proposal can include accommodation, private transport, ferries or trains, guides, entrances, restaurants, activities and technical visits. Each inclusion, option, deadline and assumption is shown clearly. If the group only needs selected services, we can also quote a modular programme rather than a fully packaged tour.
Hotels, transport and experiences matched to the group
Hotel selection considers room mix, breakfast capacity, coach access, release dates, luggage handling and location. See our dedicated hotel and venue sourcing service when accommodation or private event space is the main requirement.
Transport is planned around passenger count, luggage, driver-hours rules, ports, airports and restricted city centres. For the operational detail behind every movement, use our group travel logistics service. Experiences are selected for the group profile and tested against capacity, language and timing rather than added as a generic list.
Tours for leisure, education, culture and professional travel
Leisure groups may combine city stays, nature, food, cruises and local traditions. Educational groups can require campus visits, workshops or age-appropriate activities; these are developed through our dedicated educational and study tours in Europe service. Cultural and special-interest programmes may focus on architecture, music, history, design, gastronomy or a specific profession.
Corporate and incentive travel needs a different delivery model with delegate movement, branded details, private venues and contingency planning. Those programmes are supported through our MICE and incentive travel service rather than treated as an ordinary sightseeing circuit.
From first concept to an operating programme
We start with feasibility and a route framework. After priorities and budget level are agreed, we check the main services and prepare a structured proposal. Inventory and prices are confirmed for the requested dates; examples from another season are never presented as guaranteed availability.
Once booked, one operating contact controls supplier confirmations, passenger information, deadlines and changes. Our role is to make the designed tour deliverable on the ground, not simply attractive on paper.
Information needed for a custom group tour proposal
Send the preferred countries or cities, travel dates or date range, departure market, estimated group size, room mix, transport expectations, meal plan, guiding languages and target budget. Include any fixed flights, ferries, visits or events already booked.
If the group only has a theme or objective, that is enough for a first conversation. Tell us what the travellers should understand, experience or achieve, and we will suggest a workable route before supplier commitments are made.
Frequently asked questions about custom group tours
Do you work with travel agencies and tour operators?
Yes. The service is designed for B2B partners as well as companies, associations, schools and other group organisers. Commercial terms and responsibilities are defined in the proposal.
Is there a minimum group size?
There is no single minimum for every route. Feasibility depends on the destination, services, vehicle and budget. We will say clearly when a private tour or a standard group arrangement is more economical.
Can you organise a tour across several European countries?
Yes. We can combine countries when travel times, border procedures and supplier responsibilities create a realistic programme. We will recommend a shorter route if the original plan is too rushed.
Can we book only part of the programme?
Yes. Accommodation, transport, guides, ferries, activities or local handling can be supplied separately, subject to availability and the responsibilities agreed.
